Privacy Policy
Effective 17 September 2026 · version 1.0
The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, carries no advertising or tracking of any kind, and has no forms. We learn nothing about you by your visiting. If you email us, we read your message and reply, we keep it so we have a record of the conversation, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we delete it if you ask.
1. Who this policy is from
This policy is issued by Saldera Systems LLC ("Saldera", "we", "us"), the company that publishes this website and develops the Saldera product. For anything in this policy, including any request about your information, write to hello@salderapsa.com. A person reads that address.
2. What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy covers this website — the pages served at salderapsa.com and www.salderapsa.com — and email you send us at the address above.
It does not cover the Saldera product. The product is in development, is not generally available, and cannot be signed up for. When it is offered, it will carry its own terms of service, privacy terms, data processing terms and, where health information is involved, a business associate agreement. Those documents are being prepared with legal counsel and will be published before anyone can create an account. Nothing in this policy should be read as a statement about how the product handles a managed service provider's data or their clients' data.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
Only what you choose to put in an email. There are no forms on this site, no sign-up, no account, and no newsletter. If you use the "Be a design partner" link, your email program opens a message with some prompts in it — the size of your MSP, the tools you use today, what wastes your time. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and you can delete any of it before you do.
3.2 Information collected automatically
We run no analytics and no tracking scripts, so we do not collect anything about your visit ourselves. Two ordinary technical exceptions apply, as they would for almost any website:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records the usual details of a web request — IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string — as part of serving the site and defending it from abuse. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
- Font requests. Our typefaces are delivered by Google Fonts, so your browser requests the font files directly from Google, and Google receives your IP address and user-agent as part of that request. We receive nothing from it. If you would rather that not happen, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com leaves the site perfectly readable in your system's own typeface.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
None. This site sets no cookies — not necessary ones, not preference ones, not analytics ones — and uses no local storage, session storage, pixels, fingerprinting or advertising identifiers. That is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner: there was nothing to consent to.
Because we do not track you, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals require nothing of us — there is no tracking to switch off.
4. How we use what we have
Email you send us is used to read and answer your message, and to keep a record of the exchange. If you write about becoming a design partner, we use what you tell us to decide whether your MSP is a good fit and to arrange sessions with you. We do not use it for automated decision-making, we do not profile you, and we send no marketing email — if that ever changes, it will be something you opt into, not something you are enrolled in.
5. Who else handles this information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and the mailbox. They process information on our behalf, for the purposes below and nothing else.
| Provider | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Serves the pages | Standard web server logs |
| Cloudflare | DNS for the domain, and forwards mail sent to our address | DNS queries; the messages you email us, in transit |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the typefaces | Your IP address and user-agent when your browser fetches a font |
| Microsoft | Hosts the mailbox the address forwards to | The contents of your message |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — under the California Consumer Privacy Act or any other law. We have never done so. We would disclose information if the law required it of us, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden to.
6. How long we keep it
Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period as part of its normal operation, and are not retained by us separately. Email correspondence we keep for as long as it is useful for the conversation and our own records. Ask us to delete a conversation and we will, subject to anything we are separately required to retain.
7. Your rights
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you may ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@salderapsa.com and we will answer within thirty days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
In practice, for most visitors the answer will be that we hold nothing at all, because you never wrote to us.
If you are in California, you have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of; the other rights are exercised at the address above. You may use an authorised agent, and we may need to verify that you are who you say you are before acting.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful basis for handling server-log information is our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website; for correspondence it is our legitimate interest in answering you, or the steps taken at your request before entering into an arrangement. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
8. Where information is handled
We are a United States company and our providers process this information in the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, your message will be handled there, under United States law.
9. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and the browser is told through a content security policy that this page may load nothing but its own stylesheets, its own images and the two font hosts named above. Access to the mailbox is limited to the people at Saldera who need it. No system is perfect; we have tried to make this one small enough that there is very little to get wrong.
10. Children
This site is aimed at people running managed service businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the version number and effective date at the top change with it, and the previous version is superseded on that date. Any change that would mean collecting something new — an analytics tool, a contact form, an account — will be made here before the thing that collects it goes live, not afterwards.
